Overview:

Elegant and finely detailed vintage Mexican fire opal necklace, crafted in 14 karat yellow gold (circa 1970s).

Freeform natural opal measures 12mm x 10mm. The opal is in very good condition and free of cracks or chips.

The opal exhibits vivid color flashes in natural sunlight from orange to green, yellow, purple and red.
The rope link necklace measures 19.5 inches in length and sits nicely below the nape of the neck. The freeform opal blends into the organic botanical motif mount with the opal lighting up in natural sunlight with a strong matrix of colors. The necklace is great worn alone or layered with your other fine necklaces from any era.

The necklace is in very good original condition. we have not cleaned it in order to preserve the patina and collector value.
